Tauranga-based Waste Watchers Ltd has been helping companies and councils save waste, save money and save the planet since 1999. Director and project manager Marty Hoffart has a particular interest in community-based social marketing and zero waste principles and he is highly experienced – and highly regarded - in resource efficiency initiatives. He and his waste advisory team have conducted hundreds of waste audits and audited countless businesses. Marty, who completed his university education in Canada, helped develop the Zero Waste Management Programme at Toi Ohomai. and has tutored Diploma for Environmental Management students. He has helped pilot several waste minimisation projects and frequently speaks at conferences on zero waste and resource efficiency initiatives.
